Random act of kindness project #54-UPDATE #2
My Mama’s Love is collecting supplies to help the family from this post with their home. If you have any of these things lying around and want to get rid of them, we’ll happily take them off your hands. Alternately, if you’d rather donate an item instead of money, these are the items the family needs for their home.
-Windows
-Doors
-Electrical supplies (wiring, outlet covers, etc.)
-Plumbing supplies
-Wood stain
-Wood (for making cabinets, sub-flooring, etc.)
-Plywood
-Drywall
-Roofing supplies
-Nails or Screws
-Toilets – RECEIVED-THANK YOU Laura Billington and Theresa Lynn
-Bathroom sink
-Kitchen sink – RECEIVED-THANK YOU Tot Spot Cafe
-Shower enclosure
-Bathtub
-Faucets
-Light fixtures
-Kitchen Chandelier – RECEIVED-THANK YOU Kate & Mike Iverson
-Appliances (stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, etc.)
-Other building supplies or gift cards for Lowes or Home Depot.
Imagine what we can accomplish for this family if we each just get rid of something that’s collecting dust in our garage anyway. Maybe you have an old mirror, toilet, sink or tub from a remodel lying around? A box of screws from a project you’ve long finished? A light fixture because you upgraded to something nicer? Anything helps. Many thanks, friends.

My Mama’s Love is playing Santa
This year My Mama’s Love wants to give back and help a few people in need. Do you know someone with a new baby that doesn’t have a lot of money? We’d like to send them our Baby Kit. Do you know someone that could use some eczema relief, but can’t afford it? We’d like to send them some of our Complete Skin Ailment Curative. Do you know an attachment mama or daddy that loves to massage their baby and could use some Lullabye Love? Please send us their name, address, the product you have in mind and a little about them so we can add them to our entries. We’ll be selecting and mailing gifts through the end of the year. Happy Holiday!

Random act of kindness project #54-UPDATE
My Mama’s Love wants to update you on the community project that it is sponsoring. You may remember the family from this post
This is how far the money raised, plus money the family has been able to contribute themselves, has taken them. They are again without resources to move on and a roof is essential before winter hits. I am so grateful to those of you that have contributed to this project and so proud to be a part of a community that reaches out to those in need and helps. I get goosebumps every time I receive a donation for this family because I know times are tough for most of us and that giving requires even more of a sacrifice these days than it did five years ago. I appreciate you all, and the family appreciate you even more.

Random act of kindness project #54
Dear friends,
My Mama’s Love is devoted to helping those in need, I feel we’re all connected and have a moral and spiritual obligation to help out where we can. Times are hard and I am seeing more people in need than I have ever witnessed before. It breaks my heart. I feel compelled to help in whatever capacity I can.
My random act of kindness # 54 is more than I can tackle alone and will take a community effort; you are the community I am reaching out to. I hope you will feel compelled to help in whatever capacity you can. Anything helps.
My current project is one that comes with a sense of urgency, it’s for a family with dire housing needs. A little history on the family: a hard working mom, a hard working dad. Both laid off around the same time but working odd jobs as often as they can. They are doing anything and everything to make ends meet. This family is living in a collapsing mobile home, one that was only supposed to last them long enough to build their home, something the husband can do himself, as he’s skilled. Last winter, just before the house was complete, the entire home collapsed due to the heavy snow fall in Eastern Washington. They were completely devastated, and still pay on the loan they took out for supplies to build the home. They had no insurance.
Now the family, still living in the trailer that is falling apart, is fearing where they will live when it collapses this winter, something that will happen with certainty (you’ll see why when you look at the pictures). This family is not lazy, they are incredibly unfortunate and have come upon hard times, really hard times.
The husband is capable of building a log cabin that will house them nicely. They are able to pull wood from the property, but need money for all the other expenses. They already have electricity and sewer from their home that fell down. They are confident that they can build a home for $ 5000.00. It’s a lot of money, but it’s nothing when you consider what it is providing…a warm, safe shelter for a family of 6.
Winter comes early in Eastern Washington, hence the dire urgency. If you can offer any help, it would not go unappreciated. My Mama’s Love hopes to raise $5000.00 to deliver this family a happy ending soon.
